Note:This file contains articles relating to two Montgomery families of San Marcos. Dr. R.H. (Rob) Montgomery was a noted economist and professor. This family is unrelated to the John Montgomery family who lived on Belvin Street--obituaries and articles about Miss Julia Pearl and Miss Nell Montgomery are also included in the folder. John Andrew Montgomery (1840-)served in the Civil War and married Cecilia Cock, the daughter of Charles S. Cock in San Marcos at a double wedding with her twin sister, Civilia. The articles have not been separated due to the inability of this researcher to straighten out the genealogies.
