Note:This church is also known as "Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church." It traces its history to 1875. It is located at 224 South Fredericksburg Street. In 1991 it was awarded a Texas Historical Marker. Included on the first Board of Stewards was blacksmith Joe Cephas (the father of Ulysses Cehphas).

Note:Included is the documentary essay by Frances Stovall supporting the Historical Marker designation.
