Note:San Marcos Sanitarium, built on Belvin at the corner of Bishop by Flemming family from Redwood. Sold to Dr. Wilburn Cook Williams in 1912 and remodeled with an additional wing for a hospital. Operated as a sanitarium until 1919 part of the building was moved to Hopkins Street as a residence. The remainder of the building on Belvin was sold to W.M. Ellis in 1920, then Ralph Rice in 1961. (In 2020 that original house was still standing.) Pictured in the photo are ...Wellington and Howard Barbee (3rd and 4th from left); Walter Howard (8th from left); ...Pirtle (10th from left); and "Leffingurells?" (l2th from left)

Note:Also attached to this record is a digital scan of a photocopy of a photocopy of an apparent page from Tula's collection that has a (bad) rendering of a postal card titled "San Marcos Sanitarium, San Marcos, Texas" and a typed narrative about the hospital. Under that is another illegible typed paragraph that discusses Myrtle Langford.
