Note:Dr. Daniel Rojo was the first hispanic doctor in San Marcos, TX. Dr. Rojo served the Hays County community as a physician from 1930 until his death in 1978. Dr. Rojo was a trailblazer for civil rights and equality in the minority community.

Note:Daniel Rojo Jr. was born in San Marcos to Dr. Daniel and Mrs. Guadalupe Rojo. He was schooled in Mexico City, Mexico for his primary studies, returning to the States to finish high school at San Marcos High School. He joined the US Airforce during the Korean War and upon his discharge of duties, attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College where he obtained his BS in 1957 and later his Masters in 1959 in Mathematics and Physics. He worked for New Braunfels ISD for 29 years.

Note:Family members include Dr. Daniel Rojo (physician), Daniel Rojo Jr. (school teacher in New Braunfels), Belinda (software engineer in Austin), Adela (art & framing studio owner in New Braunfels and San Marcos), Michael (electricitan in New Braunfels), Rebecca (school teacher in San Marcos and New Braunfels), Henrietta (human resources director in Austin), and Daniel Rojo III (US post office in Austin)

Note:Marriages: Dr. Daniel Rojo married Guadalupe Benedez in 1928 in Mexico ; Dr. Daniel Rojo married Maria Teresa Padilla Segura in 1939 in Mexico ; Dr. Daniel Rojo married Ascension Cisneros in 1941 in the United States ; Daniel Rojo Jr. married Hortencia Torres in 1941 in the United States ; Belinda Rojo married Jesse Arredondo in 1978.
