Note:The General's home has a historical marker file as "Burleson Homestead" and it resided on the grounds above Spring Lake. The Major's home has a historical marker file as "Burleson Home" and it still stands on Lime Kiln Road.
Note:General Edward Burleson fought in Texas Revolution; Vice-President of the Republic; secured passage of bill forming Hays County with San Marcos as county seat as Texas Senator.
