Note:Dr. Eli T. Merriman cabin was built in 1846. He lived there with his wife and seven children. The cabin was originally located near the town square. In the late 50's it was moved to Aquarena's Texanna Village. Texas State University gave the cabin to the Heritage Association in 2000. It now stands in Veramendi Plaza.
