Northcraft near bow seated in row boat at the headwaters of the San Marcos River on July 4, 1893. On bank behind boat in shade is Professor John Pritchard of [?] Normal School Faculty and unidentified man standing on shore near boat.

Note:This is one of (at least) four sepia-tone photographs mounted on board with the legend "Chatauqua Views" stamped under the image, and "J.E.H. Chapman, photographer, near Coronal Institute, San Marcos, Tex." written or stamped in the lower left-hand corner. One of the others has a tag: "Mrs. J.M. Patterson, San Angelo, Texas (915)949-5314 5216 Fairway Dr."
