Note:Photograph of Mrs. Laura Parke seated and wearing fashion from her trousseau which appeared on page A of the society section in local newspaper. Mrs. Parke is wearing a wide-brimmed adorned hat, bracelet length gloves, and a tunic (knee length) dress of emerald green with a paneled front, jeweled embroidery sleeves and neckline, and shirred waistband. Mrs. Parke was the daughter of E.P. Raynolds who owned the Raynolds and Daniels Drug Store, north side of the square in San Marcos.

Note:There are photographs and photograph negatives in our collection from a local preservation movement in the 1970s, possibly connected with the American Bicentennial, to photograph historical photographs in private local collections with a large-format camera in order to reproduce them as new photographs. I believe this is a photo from that effort.
