Note:A note about distinguishing photographs between the East End School and the West End School: The West End brick building has a stone foundation; the East End School (pictured here) has bricks all the way to the ground. Also, the West End School has individual double-hung windows with a curved transom; the East End School has windows in series of threes.

Note:Erected 1890 as the first permanent structure in the San Marcos City School system. It burned in 1939.
