Note:Mr. and Mrs. Sam R. Kone standing near their daughters seated in the yard playing with dolls and two other children in horse and buggy in the background at the Kone-Yarbrough home in 1902. (But Arro is not sure this is really the Kone-Yarbrough Home at 903 Belvin.)

Note:Sam R. Kone, Jr. (1855-1941), a successful merchant, active Mason, and member of the San Marcos City Council, 1914-15. His wife Laura (Smith) (1859-1937) taught art at Coronal Institute before her marriage.
