Note:Attached is the National Register of Historic Places Inventory Nomination Form for this building.

Note:L.H. Browne, Sr., built this house between 1895 and 1901 and sold it to Will G. Barber. (Browne also built and lived in the house at 800 or 804 Burleson, at the corner of Browne Terrace.)

Note:Will Barber, Hay County Sheriff and lawyer, bought the house and lived there until his death in 1935.

Note:The property includes one of the oldest swimming pools in central Texas (cf. National Registry application).
