Note:Tula's notes on Wren Ranch "so named for its first owner James Wren who came to Hays County with Willis H. Ferguson in 1866 both were Confederate Veterens from Washington-on-the-Brazos. James Wren served as Sheriff of Hays County at two different times. His sons Mack Wren also later served for sixteen years, 1930 to 1946 at the time of his death.

Note:Tula's notes on "Grandma's Mt." "Old Baldy--Wimberley, Texas. Your first visit to Wimberley is never complete until you've climbed 'Old Baldy' and seen the entire hill country around Wimberley below you. There are many such hills around Wimberley."
