$aOn back -- "Fentress River Resort about 1908. The river has now changed its course and there is no swimming at this particular place, but the skating rink is still in existence. People came here to spend the summer, camp out inder the trees for a week or so, picnic or just swim for the afternoon in the cool San Marcos River. There was also a tabernacle here and many camp meetings were held there. The late Bob Smith of Fentress was the owner and operator, father of Mrs. Berta Collier and grandfather of Mrs. Bill Allbright" in Tula's hand. |
